Laguna, Philippines — January 30, 2026 — Senator Alan Peter Cayetano delivered a compelling message of faith, purpose, and servant leadership as guest of honor at the first-ever Laguna Pastors and Workers Summit, held at the Laguna Sports Complex in celebration of National Bible Month.
The historic gathering brought together more than a thousand pastors and church workers from various Christian denominations across the province, marking the largest and first provincial assembly of faith leaders in Laguna. The summit was spearheaded by the Laguna Provincial Government through its Moral Development Office, with the support of Governor Sol Aragones.
He introduced what he described as the “5 Ps of the Bible”—Power, Purpose, Potential, Principles, and Progress—as a framework for Christ-centered leadership.

In his keynote message, Senator Cayetano urged pastors and church workers to anchor their lives and leadership in Scripture, emphasizing that faith must be lived out beyond the pulpit and reflected in everyday actions.
Highlighting the Power of God’s Word, Senator Cayetano cited Jeremiah 29:11 and contextualized it for the province:
“For I know the plans I have for you, Laguna,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
The Senator stressed that Scripture is not only meant to be read but lived, reminding attendees that faith carries responsibility and must guide leadership, decisions, and service to others.
Declaring himself an Ambassador of Christ, Senator Cayetano emphasized that this calling applies to all believers.
“If you are a follower of Christ, then you are also an Ambassador of Christ,” he said, noting that the Bible reveals both identity and purpose.
“Bawat tao may purpose, at ang Bible ang aklat ng purpose,” he added, encouraging faith leaders to guide their communities toward lives rooted in God-given purpose.
Governor Sol Aragones also shared a brief personal testimony during the summit, reflecting on her journey in public service and the importance of trusting God’s timing. She recalled how words of encouragement from Senator Cayetano during a challenging period in her life strengthened her faith and renewed her sense of purpose. The Governor reaffirmed that her leadership is grounded in service and surrender to God’s will.

Following the messages, pastors from different parts of Laguna gathered to pray over Senator Cayetano, Governor Aragones, and all summit participants. The prayer was led by Pastor Garry Matias, Administrator and Treasurer of the Laguna for Jesus Movement and Senior Pastor and President of Jesus Local Ministries Los Baños, who prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for the leaders.

As a gesture of appreciation, each pastor and church worker received half a cavan of rice, an unexpected gift that brought joy and gratitude among attendees.Led by the Provincial Government’s Moral Development Program, the first-ever Laguna Pastors and Workers Summit stood as a milestone of unity among faith leaders and public servants. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s message reinforced the vital role of Scripture, purpose-driven leadership, and faith in strengthening communities and shaping a hopeful future for the province of Laguna.
