Homegrown Filipino food brand Mekeni Food Corporation strengthened its commitment to bringing quality Filipino-made products closer to consumers and business partners through its participation in the recently concluded World Food Expo (WOFEX) 2026 at the World Trade Center Manila.
Held from July 29 to August 1, WOFEX 2026 brought together food manufacturers, distributors, retailers, foodservice professionals, and other industry stakeholders, providing a venue for brands to showcase their products and build potential business partnerships.
Mekeni made its presence felt throughout the four-day exhibition with a diverse portfolio of products catering to Filipino families and foodservice businesses.
Among the products featured at the Mekeni booth was its growing sausage portfolio, including the Mekeni Specials 4Cheese Sausage, Hungarian Sausage with Cheese, and Breakfast Sausage. The lineup offers consumers a range of flavors and options for everyday meals and special occasions.

More than a product showcase, the event allowed Mekeni to engage directly with consumers, retailers, distributors, and industry partners. The company highlighted its identity as a homegrown Filipino brand with an expanding presence in both domestic and international markets.
“WOFEX gives us a valuable opportunity to connect with our consumers and partners while showcasing the quality, innovation, and Filipino pride that continue to define Mekeni,” said Pruds Garcia, Mekeni President.
Mekeni’s participation at WOFEX also forms part of its continuing efforts to expand its market presence, strengthen business partnerships, and introduce its products to more consumers through meaningful industry engagements.
The company is marking its 40th year this year under the anniversary theme “May Kwento sa Bawat Timpla,” celebrating four decades of stories, flavors, and shared moments with Filipino families.
Following another successful WOFEX participation, Mekeni said it looks forward to bringing its products to more homes, businesses, and communities while continuing to tell its story through food.
