Brilliant Skin Essentials Chief Executive Officer Glenda Dela Cruz is set to apply what she learned from a six-day intensive program at Harvard Business School to the Filipino-owned company she founded.
Dela Cruz, also known as Miss Glenda, recently completed the Strategic Marketing for Driving Growth program, where she tackled 19 business cases alongside entrepreneurs and business leaders from different countries, industries, and backgrounds.

“Hindi lang ako uuuwi na may certificate, umuwi ako with a deeper perspective on business, leadership, and growth. Finally, no more sleepless nights!” Dela Cruz said in a Facebook post.
“Tapos na ang cases, tapos na ang puyat. Time to rest, recharge, and get ready to bring home everything I’ve learned at Harvard Business School. Grateful to have learned alongside entrepreneurs and leaders from different countries, industries, and backgrounds,” she added.
Dela Cruz said she is particularly excited to apply her learnings to Brilliant Skin Essentials.
“Excited nako para kay Brilliant Skin Essentials. Sa totoo lang, sa dami kong NOTES, excited na akong i-execute ang mga natutunan ko,” she said.
For Dela Cruz, completing the program marked an important personal milestone, especially as someone who did not finish college and had long dreamed of studying at Harvard Business School.
“Harvard Business School, you’ve been a dream come true. And I hope, this will serve as an inspiration sa mga katulad ko na hindi nakatapos ng pag-aaral. Na may pag-asa at pwede pang matuto through this kind of program,” she said.
The program exposed Dela Cruz to real-world business cases covering strategic marketing, customer behavior, growth, pricing, competition, leadership, decision-making, and artificial intelligence.
“What I loved most was that we weren’t just listening to lectures. We were given real business situations and asked to think, analyze, challenge assumptions, and make decisions,” she said.

The experience also strengthened her belief in continuous learning, particularly as artificial intelligence continues to transform the way businesses operate.
“And with AI evolving so quickly, one thing became even clearer to me: business owners can’t afford to stop learning. AI is changing how we create, market, understand customers, make decisions, and scale businesses. But technology is only one part of the equation. How we think, how we lead, and how we use these tools will matter just as much,” Dela Cruz said.
Meanwhile, Brilliant Skin Essentials Inc. has also been recognized for its efforts to promote inclusivity by employing persons with disabilities (PWDs) as part of its more than 1,000-strong workforce.
Actress and content creator Ivana Alawi recently praised the company’s initiative after visiting one of its production facilities and meeting its employees.
“Isa sa mga nakakatuwa dito sa Brilliant Skin—meron silang mga PWD. Hinahayaan talaga nila magtrabaho. Talagang part sila ng Brilliant Skin,” Alawi said, noting that 11 PWDs are currently employed by the company.
“Mas gusto kong suportahan yung mga business talaga na lahat welcome. Eleven ang PWD nila dito sa Brilliant Skin,” she added.
Brilliant Skin Essentials was also recognized as the 2025 Top Employer of the Year by the Municipality of Morong, Rizal.
The company was likewise named among the municipality’s top business taxpayers, ranking among the Top 3 Outstanding Business Taxpayers of the Year and Top 4 Highest Real Property Taxpayers of the Year.
With her Harvard Business School experience behind her, Dela Cruz said she is now looking forward to turning her new insights into action as she continues to grow Brilliant Skin Essentials.
