CARD MRI Rizal Bank, Inc. (CARD RBI) was recognized as one of the outstanding financial institutions at the Gawad TANYAG Awards during the 63rd anniversary celebration of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LANDBANK) on August 8, 2026.
CARD RBI received the Gawad Partner Financial Institution (PFI) Outstanding Rural Bank Award for its efforts to expand financial access among underserved communities and Filipino families.
The recognition highlights the bank’s contribution to advancing financial inclusion and creating greater economic opportunities for rural communities.
“This award reflects our commitment to strengthening rural communities in the country and using this opportunity to expand their economic opportunities. This is the significant impact of advancing financial inclusion,” CARD RBI President and CEO Lyneth Derequito said.
Derequito said the recognition also belongs to CARD RBI’s employees and clients, whose aspirations continue to inspire the bank to reach more financially excluded Filipinos.
“Their dreams of a better life drive us to keep expanding our reach to reach more Filipinos who are financially excluded and give them the same opportunity of empowerment,” she added.
The Gawad TANYAG (TANging YAman at Galing) Awards recognize clients and partners of LANDBANK that contribute to community development through excellence, innovation, and service.
CARD RBI, a microfinance-oriented rural bank under CARD MRI, provides financial products and services designed for economically challenged families and small business owners. These include microfinance, solar loans, educational and health financing, savings accounts, and remittance services.
Through its collaboration with the CARD MRI network, the bank also provides microinsurance, business growth support, and various community development programs.
As of June 2026, CARD RBI operates 405 offices nationwide with 2,016 employees, serving 946,868 clients.
The bank has also recorded more than ₱9 billion in loan disbursements, with a 99.32% repayment rate, reflecting its continued reach and support for communities across the country.
