CABUYAO, Laguna — Students in the CALABARZON region may soon experience broader access to globally competitive and technology-driven education after officially strengthened its academic collaboration with during a ceremony held on Wednesday, May 20.
The expanded partnership signals a wider rollout of internationally aligned programs and artificial intelligence-based learning systems across all undergraduate offerings of Mapúa MCL.
Previously focused on selected programs in business and health sciences, the collaboration will now extend to every undergraduate course offered by the institution, giving students access to enhanced coursework, digital learning platforms, global immersion opportunities, and internationally connected degree pathways.
School officials said the initiative aims to prepare students for industries increasingly influenced by automation, emerging technologies, and digital transformation.

Artificial intelligence will play a central role in the strengthened partnership, with Mapúa MCL adopting learning models and innovation frameworks inspired by ASU.
The institution is expected to further integrate AI-enabled teaching strategies and digital competency programs to help students adapt to the rapidly evolving global workforce.
According to Mapúa University President and CEO Dodjie Maestrecampo, the collaboration reflects the institution’s commitment to producing graduates equipped for both local and international opportunities. He added that expanding access to AI-driven education could give students from CALABARZON a stronger advantage as industries continue shifting toward technology-centered operations.

As part of the Mapúa Education system, Mapúa MCL remains the first and only educational network in the Philippines with a system-wide collaboration with ASU, widely recognized for innovation in higher education.
The strengthened alliance also opens additional opportunities for research collaboration, faculty exchange programs, industry exposure, and international certifications through the ASU–Cintana Alliance, a global network of partner universities.
Founded in 2006, Mapúa MCL has continued to gain recognition in Southern Luzon for its academic performance, employability outcomes, and international distinctions.
Among its recent recognitions are its inclusion in the 2025 Impact Rankings, placement in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation Global Top 500 Innovative Universities, and a three-star overall rating from the , including five-star ratings in employability, online learning, and social impact.
